PhotoAgent
1. The short version
PhotoAgent is designed to keep your photo library private by default. The app does not require an account, does not upload your photos, and does not sell or share information with third parties.
- No sign-up, no login, no tracking profile.
- No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs.
- Photos, tags, searches, and the index stay on your iPhone.
2. Information we don't collect
PhotoAgent does not collect, store, or transmit personal information such as your name, email, phone number, address, contacts, location history, health data, financial data, biometric data, or browsing history to our servers. We do not operate a backend that receives your photos or search queries.
3. Photo library access
PhotoAgent asks for access to your photo library so it can build a private on-device index of the photos you allow. You may grant full access or limited access. Original photos remain in the Photos app and are not copied into PhotoAgent’s storage.
Photos are analyzed on this iPhone for search (including scene and object labels, text in images, visual similarity, and optional on-device people clustering). Analysis results are not uploaded. You can revoke photo access at any time in iOS Settings.
4. Information stored on your device
The app stores a local catalog on your device. Depending on the features you use, this may include photo identifiers and metadata, search documents, text recognized in photos, scene or object labels, visual embeddings, similar-photo links, and — if you enable People Search — on-device face clusters, names, and relationships you assign.
Appearance preferences and similar settings are also stored locally. This data does not leave the device and is removed when the app is uninstalled.
5. People and faces
Optional People Search detects and clusters faces on this iPhone so you can name people and search for them. Face data, names, and relationships stay in the app’s local database. PhotoAgent does not use cloud face recognition and does not share this data with anyone.
6. Children's privacy
PhotoAgent is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Security
Because PhotoAgent does not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal dataset of yours for us to breach. Local data on your device is protected by your device's standard security model, including iOS Data Protection.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in the app or in legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
